We are moving our start line for the Tour de Agua to the Dublin High School.
2020 routes will be posted soon!
The information below is from 2019.
Gotta Love Gravel will start at 6pm at Dublin Bottling Works
66 MILE ROUTE
BEGINS AT 7:30AM
Our longest route covers parts of Erath, Comanche, and Hamilton counties. Riders will head east on Highway 6 to the “settlement” of Alexander and then turn south to Carlton. At Carlton riders head west to enjoy rolling hills and more beautiful scenery. At the junction of FM 2823 and FM 1702, the 41 mile and 66 mile routes diverge, with 66 mile riders turning south and then west into Gustine, then will loop around to catch FM 1702 again, this time heading north back toward Dublin. Though not lengthy, there are some moderate climbs to ascend. Riders will enjoy long stretches of country scenery on lightly traveled roads before riding the last leg on FM 219 back into Dublin.
Six rest stops.
41 MILE ROUTE
BEGINS AT 7:40AM
This intermediate ride winds down country roads of Erath and Hamilton Counties, enjoying rolling hills and open grasslands, through the tiny communities of Alexander, Carlton, and Edna Hill. Riders will follow the same big loop as the 66 mile crowd, but will turn north at the FM 1702 junction, while the longer distance riders head south. The last stretch of scenery will bring you onto FM 219 where you’ll make the final leg into Dublin.
Four rest stops.
NOTE: In previous years, this route has gone through Carlton and then immediately turned north onto FM 219 S. This year the route bypasses that stretch of 219 completely. Riders will continue from Carlton on FM 2823 for several miles before turning north at the junction of FM 2823 and FM 1702.
25 MILE ROUTE
BEGINS AT 7:50AM
This is a very scenic route around the northeast area of Dublin, with several moderate to heavy hills (depending on your experience level), lovely curves, and a nice long stretch back to Dublin on the wide shoulder of Highway 6. Riders start out heading east on Hwy 6, then turn north onto FM 847 for several beautiful miles, and a few hills. A right turn onto CR 275 will begin the curves that bring you back to FM 914 where you’ll head south to Hwy 6, then west back to Dublin.
Two rest stops.
9 MILE ROUTE
BEGINS AT 8:00AM
A great opportunity to be a part of the fun, while riding just over 9 miles! With only a couple of hills that will get your heart going, this ride travels pretty scenery along a country road on the backside of Dublin. A perfect opportunity for a parent and child to get some time together. Riders will start out on the wide shoulder of Highway 6, turning right at Cottonwood Church to complete the loop back to Dublin.
One rest stop.
