Why We Ride

The 2021 Ride!

The Tour De Agua & GLG proceeds go directly to help kids! Kids Across Cultures provides access to clean drinking water, medical care, education programs, and much more to children and families in some of the most difficult places to be a kid!

Traveling to and from the villages we serve in Cambodia is quite an adventure! Both the distance and really bad road conditions have taken a toll on our 2003 Van. A portion of the proceeds from the rides and sponsorships will go to help us get a new”ish” van to keep the work going!

Tour de Agua bike ride in the morning!

Gotta Love Gravel: Dublin at night!

WHERE /

It all starts in Dublin, Texas!

The Irish Capital of Texas

ABOUT THE EVENT /

Join us for the 10th Annual Tour de Agua and help Kids Across Cultures provide educational, medical, and clean water support in some of the hardest places to be a kid. You'll enjoy scenic routes along established courses, welcoming & well-stocked rest stops with Dublin Bottling Works craft sodas, and a friendly small town Texas atmosphere.

Our course will remain on pavement, primarily utilizing scenic and lightly traveled country roads. Distance, more than anything, will determine the degree of difficulty, as the course consists of rolling hills, intermittent flats, and an occasional leg-burning climb. Safety will be given highest priority with experienced SAG, and rest stops at strategic points.

After your ride, visit downtown Dublin and all it has to offer, like Things Celtic, Blackjack's, Blessings, and a variety of shops, dining, and museums. Dublin is the childhood home of golfer Ben Hogan and musician Luke Wade.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY /

SHANE

Second time on this Dublin, Texas ride and  IT'S NOW BECOME ONE OF OUR FAVORITES. Check in the night before was quick with welcoming volunteers. Country roads were marked with directional paint. Mostly flat but some long climbs. Rest stops were well-spaced and stocked. SAG vehicles were supported by amateur radio. WE WILL RIDE AGAIN NEXT YEAR!

AMY

I have done a lot of these types of rides. This is the first time for the Tour de Agua. It was great! Online registration worked well, communications before the race were good, and the ride started right on time. The route was VERY well marked, SAG stops were great and the signs for them well done. Again, volunteers were very friendly. ALL IN ALL, ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE BEST ORGANIZED RIDES I HAVE EVER DONE!

JACKIE

THIS IS A GREAT RALLY. The organizers are friendly, the registration is quick and efficient, the ride starts on time, and the people of Dublin appreciate you making the drive.

The route?
ONE OF THE PRETTIEST YOU ARE GOING TO FIND. Hills are challenging, but they seem to reward you with just as many downhill's.
